Belgian Maxim Van Gils (Lotto Dstny) won the 60th edition of the Grand Prix du Canton d'Argovie, in Switzerland, at the end of a 173.8-kilomere race contested in a circuit around Leuggern.
Having made a fine start to the season (3 wins, 8 podiums and a 4th place at Liège-Bastogne-Liège), the 24-year-old rider edged out Italy's Alberto Bettiol (EF Education - EasyPost) and Spain's Roger Adria (Bora - hansgrohe) in a powerful uphill sprint.
